What is yeast beta glucan?

Yeast beta glucan is a polysaccharide present in the yeast cell wall that has immune enhancing activity. Made through cell wall breaking, enzymatic hydrolysis, acid and alkali treatment, separation and purification, drying and other processes.

Yeast beta Glucan is derived from β- (1,3) - D-glucan as the main chain, containing a small amount β- 1,6-glucan branching is a polysaccharide with a three-dimensional helical structure.

Glucan is widely present in various fungi and plants, such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, shiitake mushrooms, Ganoderma lucidum, and oats, and they are the main functional substances. Due to different sources and configurations, the activity of pectin varies greatly.

The yeast beta glucan produced by our company is extracted from the yeast cell wall. Research has shown that only the glucan present in Ganoderma spores and yeast cell walls has good immune activity, known as beta- 1,3-1,6 glucan

Yeast Beta Glucan Mechanism of action
